       SALAM PARK PUBLIC LIBRARY
Defensive walls are one of the ancient landmarks that were quite common in historical cities. They were utilized to encircle and defend the city from enemies. The main concept of the project is taken from the historical Riyadh wall
CONCEPT Merging the landscape with the park and the space between the crack-shaped buildings allows for ease of entry into the space which increases its livability. The site itself includes vegetation which I merged with the park to encourage a stronger connection between both. This, along with the pathway strengthens the continuity aspect. Also, the in-between area provides a semi-enclosed atmosphere that connects to the outside and to the entrances, serving as a human center. Lastly, choosing a defensive wall as the main concept delivers an authentic feel.

CROSS SECTION B-B
For the east side volume, the theater inclination leads to the west-side entrance of the building. The inner walls of both volumes are lined with a façade. Its focus is to represent a sustainable contemporary old city opening with solar panels inside the rectangular pattern to illustrate sustainability and innovation.
