I-6 F1 Satellite Rocket Launch Branding

We were set this live brief by Ogilvy to create the logo, mission patch, key visual, and social media posts for Inmarsats new satellite called I-6 F1. For this project they wanted us to create something inspired by the launch it's self . I was inspired by their brand guidelines where it talked about having a bold and strong .
I used Inmarsat's own typeface to create the logo but adjusted it to fit my idea. I really liked the idea of using negative space in the design. I also wanted it to be Bold and simple enough that it would still be readable if it was on a rocket.
For the mission patch I was inspired by some of the imagery on Inmarsat's own website. I really liked these different rich blues and wanted something that was different to anything they had done before.
I created these different key visuals by photoshopping about three images each to get the effect I wanted. I first one I was more focused on the power and dramatics of the launch it's self, the second one was inspired but the launch happening in Japan so I used a photo of a Japanese mountain, And the fire was inspired by imagery of the rocket flying through the sky. I wanted to keep it photographic so that it would fit in with Inmarsat's existing branding.
For the final key visual I made the colours brighter and more enhanced that they stand out more.  I really liked the effect of layering the logo over the top to highlight the different colours and the rocket even more By doing this the text and logo were still readable but didn't take away from the overall image.
I created these mock up social media post's to see if all of different ways I could use the key visuals to create really interesting and attention grabbing posts.
