Euphoria Record Cover

Introduction

this project is my interpretation of the feelings provoked by the song (put so and so here), using the format of sacred bones record label designs to display meaning and feeling through photography and photo editing.
Using photography and photo editing to create a sense of what I felt the song was representing.

This project is a unique gatefold record sleeve for the Sacred Bones record label. In order to reflect on the true nature of the album, I chose an album of my choosing for the record cover. The emphasis on experimentation utilizing various media, mediums, and techniques is placed on the album covers in order to create record cover art that can stand alone and gain a cult following. In addition, I'm paying great attention to the typographical layout so that I may reproduce a well-known record label while maintaining the same style, theme, and aesthetic.

Concept

My main concept and chosen art direction were photography with the use of Photoshop and the double colour exposure effect. I focused on the themes of love, hopelessness, heartache, Belonging, truth and the search for meaning to life. Using double colour exposure gives the feeling of pulling away and a euphoric feeling.
My Chosen Album Cover

“All for Us” by Labrinth and Zendaya from the blockbuster series Euphoria was released on August 4th, 2019 and is my choice for the record. Finally, the song was released throughout the season. The album's concentration is on emotions, and it has the potential to succeed.
About Rue

“All for Us” by Labrinth & Zendaya
Looking at it directly from the perspective of “Rue”, it has been hypothesized that this song actually alludes to her battle with drug addiction. The genesis of her affliction can more or less be traced back to the death of her father a few years ago. Thus it can be argued that from her point of view she perceives her addiction as an act of love – or more specifically a result of it. And it has also been put forth that the story arc of “Rue” was actually the inspiration behind this song.

Rationale

In all, taken out of the context of “Euphoria”, “All for Us” is a song based primarily on the themes of the singers being ready to do any and everything for the special people in their lives. Or at least that is the way they personally rationalize their actions. The song "All for Us" is an unofficial Euphoria theme.
