This painting was made for a school project in my first year at GLR. The assignment was that we would find two things that are total opposites of each other but still make it one project. I chose for the topics classical and punk music.

I began searching for things I associate the two topics with. With classical music I thought of the colour green and brown. I also added pretty stones to the classical side because when I think of classical music I think of pearl necklaces. 

With the punk side I went for darker colours since punk is seen as more aggressive music. That's also why I made the texture different from the classical side. I made it look more rough. That is also why i didn't fully paint that side. And I painted squares and triangles since those have pointy corners.
