This design was my Honor project for the final assignment. It centered around sustianability. The environmental and health issues within the sustainability challenge become the primary motivation to overcome the stigma of Entomophagy, the practice of eating insects as part of the everyday diet. This issue stems from the need to resolve the environmental damage inflicted by the agriculture industry alongside the health risks of following restrictive diets. Buggy Box encourages individuals to make lifestyle changes for ecological and health prosperity by normalizing insect-based foods products with a specific focus on cricket powder. The research's importance lies in the need to raise further public awareness about protein alternatives that are environmentally sustainable and that do significantly more with far fewer resources. This includes the early model of the box into the final design by the end of the work.
