TAME IMPALA: THE SLOW RUSH

This album cover was a passion project that I did in my spare time away from school. I'm a big fan of Tame Impala and he just went on The Slow Rush tour, so I thought it was perfect timing to create an album cover. I wanted it to have a largely psychedelic feel since a large part of the albums branding was "Rushium".

Here's a short time-lapse of my workflow for this project. It took much longer than this but I just wanted to show the main steps that got me to the final look. It was mainly just playing around with the blending modes and adding a gradient map over all of the elements. It goes to show that little things can really make a difference when they're all working together.
