Project introduction & Concept：
With significant changes in lifestyles and an overwhelming workload, every family member becomes much busier today. Moreover, under a highly competitive working and learning environment, it is hard for people to interact with family with patience, giving rise to misunderstanding, disconnection, and alienation. Therefore, maintaining long-distance parental-child relationships becomes a more difficult task.
Closer Heart is an App Project, encouraging family members to keep in touch with each other and helping users maintain relationships when living apart with loved ones. When finished secondary research, diary tracking, and competitive apps analysis, three main problems – hiding actual minds, unwilling to show care and concern, and awkward chatting atmosphere are concluded, which are accountable for alienation and misunderstanding from family members when living apart. As a result, some crucial functions are. developed, such as CEREMONY, encouraging the family to keep in touch with each other at least once a week, Mood Rating, after calling, which AI mood detector can tell the speaker's feeling from their voice, Silence Mode, which users can be given a particular time to cool down if they quarrel with each other.
