T-Rider intends to create a safe place free of hate shame for any human dealing or not with PTSD.
Mental health challenges can be scary and confusing. You may feel shame or embarrassment, which is normal. It’s important to remember that these issues are common and treatable. Conversations about mental health can be hard – whether you have a mental illness or you know someone who does. Learn what to say and what not to say. Then, take the pledge to end the stigma. Together, we can make it ok.

Part IV
Trauma, including one-time, multiple, or long-lasting repetitive events, affects everyone differently. Some individuals may clearly display criteria associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but many more individuals will exhibit resilient responses or brief subclinical symptoms or consequences that fall outside of diagnostic criteria. The impact of trauma can be subtle, insidious, or outright destructive. How an event affects an individual depends on many factors, including characteristics of the individual, the type and characteristics of the event(s), developmental processes, the meaning of the trauma, and sociocultural factors.

Types of Traumas :
Acute trauma: This results from a single stressful or dangerous event.
Chronic trauma: This results from repeated and prolonged exposure to highly stressful events. Examples include cases of child abuse, bullying, or domestic violence.
Complex trauma: This results from exposure to multiple traumatic events.
Secondary trauma, or vicarious trauma, is another form of trauma. With this form of trauma, a person develops trauma symptoms from close contact with someone who has experienced a traumatic event.

And finally, the the 7 emotional stages of trauma:
1-Shock and denial. This is a state of disbelief and numbed feelings.
2-Pain and guilt.
3-Anger and bargaining.
4-Depression.
5-The upward turn.
6-Reconstruction and working through.
7-Acceptance and hope.
