GRAND BESIKTAS BAZAAR
Grand Beşiktaş Bazaar, completed in 1985, is a building signed by Sedat Gürel and Radi Birol.While it exhibits a weaker attitude when taken alone, the feeling of completing an incomplete puzzle piece it creates when placed in its urban context makes it impossible to discuss the building without the social dynamics beyond its visible features. Thus, the ground relationship it establishes with the region it is located in is placed at a critical point by keeping together the movements of different cultural and daily life around it.
