Shape and Colour

Task 1

I used this picture of my friends from when they were giving me a haul of the clothes they had just bought at value village because of the shapes the people and the clothes are making. This was my first time using pro create, I liked how much easier/darker the lines are.

The reason why I chose to do this picture of my friends is because I think it summarizes my first year of university.
Task 2

I chose the colours based off of the dress that was worn on the right. I used the curvature tool. I thought it was interesting how all the different shapes came together, and how big of a difference in light/shadows between the two people.
Task 3 a/b
For this I used pictures of teeth and pictures of nature that I had on my phone. I used teeth because I tried to think of a unique way to show happiness (smiling). I used nature because all three of us are from British Columbia, so I thought it would be cool to show that. I might try to re-do it because the quality seems off, but that might also be because I took a screenshot of illustrator. I like the contrast of the two types of pictures. Both show different types of texture.

Again, the quality is bad because it is a screenshot, but I added background shapes to show where the light was hitting the subjects. There was a kitchen light hitting the person on the left, natural light hitting the front of both people, and the side of the person on the right. These shapes also control/direct the viewers attention. On the second and third picture I changed the opacity and difference on the stars so they were less distracting from the main image, and there were more colours. I am not sure why I had chosen to do hair, I just thought it would make the picture interesting.
