Jovian Moons

410 years ago, Galileo Galilei looked through his handmade telescope noticed three points near Jupiter

Although he believed at first they were stars, after observing them for several nights, and noticing they moved in the wrong direction and changed positions, he became one of the first to conclude that they were not stars, but moons orbiting around Jupiter, providing evidence for the theory (Copernican theory) that not everything revolved around earth.

Galilean moons are incredible on their own tho, we have Io, the moon of fire and ice, the most volcanically active in the solar system and big on sulfur dioxide snowfields. Europa, the icy moon, with a hidden ocean under its frozen surface, one of the strongest contestants to harvest life in our solar system (it would be awesome if it ends up having an underwater world) Ganymede, the largest moon in the Solar System and the only one to have its own magnetic field and Callisto the third largest.

Hope you like it!
