Senior Project: Barnaby Atlas Fox Trilogy book covers

For my senior project I decided to take on the challenge and create a book cover series. The book series is Barnaby Atlas Fox and there are three books. The book follows star-cross lovers that were separated when one moved away at a young age. So do they end up together? The book is a captivating coming of age tale filled with redemption and heartbreak.

I started with a mood board to get a sense of the color scheme I wanted to go for and to get ideas of how I wanted to do my book covers. I liked the best idea to capture that coming of age tale was to do an illustrative work.

These are my rough drafts where it ranges from rough sketches and drafts of the first book cover and the second book cover. It was a lot of rendition for the book covers. However, I spent too much time on the first book cover and was only able to complete the first and third book cover.

This is my rough draft and the idea I was heading towards for the second book cover because this part is an symbolic in a passage in the second book. Moving onto my final products for the books.
