This home was one of the stops on the 2011 ASID Remodel Tour, which took place in April.  The 5,000 square foot beautiful estate was built in the early 1990's and the previous homeowners had added to the home, but never touched the small outdated kitchen and family room.  So after living in the home for over 8 years, and struggling with the limited space in this area, my clients decided to remodel the entire right wing of their home.  The plan was to add an additional 500 square feet to the kitchen and family room, and then extend the dining room, and daughter's room that was directly above, another 4 feet.  This added space was long over due with two teenage boys that are well over 6 feet tall.
