In this project, I explore generative methods in creating visual designs with algorithms and explore pattern making and motion design by using cellular automata algorithms. Cellular Automata is one of the simplest and most interesting ideas I've ever come across. 

Cellular Automata is a computational model usually represented by a grid with values (cells). Cellular automata are discrete, abstract computational systems that have proved useful both as general models of complexity and as more specific representations of non-linear dynamics in a variety of scientific fields. As well as "basic" cellular automata and the famous "game of life". 

I have generated a variety of visual outputs. Algorithms help us explore a wide variety of, and often surprising, visual results in computational design.
