Project 1: Pictographic Symbols for Paris 2024 Olympic Games
The task was to design a set of ten pictographic symbols for the 2024 summer Paris Olympic Games. The sports include Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Diving, Football, Golf, Artistic Gymnastic, Handball, Judo, Hockey, Sailing, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Water Polo and Fencing.
To create the shapes in the figures I used the tracing tools called French Curves, I would later discover that the person who invited them was from Germany.
I decided to go with a hexagon as the board of my pictographs to create a seen of unity and order. This also lets me be creative on how I should lay them out on a poster. I chose the rich shade of blue to represent the blue found in the French flag
