This was the animation work I made back in 2020 based on sad-looking dancer that seems having such stoic manner on his character. It was my first time to see this kind of dance performance, it took place on Widya Mataram University two years before on 2018. I even don't know what's the name of the Act they performed. I think it was part of Menak fragments.
From all the characters and act that have been performed, I'm in love with this character that I even don't what it's name. With it's all red and dark-red costume match perfectly with traditional Cinde pattern that goes well on his short pants covered by jarik and sampur, a waist scarf/shawl-like that often used in traditional Javanese dance. sometime I think it has function like a wings. Other than his appearance, maybe the mysterious atmosphere that followed him, it was much more than sadness, like a man that embraces everything what fate may lay on his weary hands, whether it's for the better or the worst of him, for he doesn't believed in such things anymore.
