Something to Sit on is one of those projects that stay at the forefront of the entire class’s brain for the rest of our lives. My group contained Izzy Ashlock and Adnan Ali, the three of us were able to use our strengths to the best of our abilities here. We started with our wildest concept sketches in class then, after a bit more research, narrowed it down to a handful of more refined sketches. We began creating physical mock-ups not-to-scale of
those refined sketches. After putting those models to the test of durability, I created a model that included the best and most durable features from each. When we got our general design nailed down, we began creating models to scale and testing their durability. Next, I created a design plan for us. While Izzy and I built, Adnan was tasked with creating the working drawings. Then, while I went through the chair with a fine tooth comb, Izzy created our rendering and slideshow. We learned so much throughout the entire process like how to work together as a team, deal with problems as they arise, and how to utilize our strengths for the best outcome.
