The Wheel of Helios

The Wheel of Helios
The project was created based on the overwhelming need of RMIT students to have a social space which hold enough capacity to maximize potential social activities and networking. The intended experience is to create a playful and explorative space where students can freely engage in creative and unexpected ways, to further increase their mood and enhance relationship.

By incorporating an interactive water body and seating areas to the stairs and walls, the space itself becomes an interactive platform where students can engage in different ways, allows them to sit, climb and play around with water surface, thus, generates an interesting spatial experience.

Through different design approaches, an ordinary hallway in RMIT has become lively and full of excitement, its energy spreads through surrounding people, just like how Helios - the God of Life and Creation brings joy and happiness for those who he comes across.
