Self Esteem Space
A space that concentrates on creating social interactions that can potentially upgrade one’s esteem.
The project referenced from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, that mentions the need of human to elevate their self esteem and earn respect from others in society.
Firstly, a sense of consideration for person in a space can give them an inclusive feeling and recognition. This is expressed in the sensitivity to movement that guides one throughout the space, which makes the person feel like they are considered and respected. Thus, the space used a thin light source followed the path to guide the users to the meeting space.
A sense of community can also be used to make one feel recognized. This is expressed in a large meeting space at the middle that facilitates social activities and generates a sense of community.
