Year of the Tiger 2022
The Tiger is the third of the 12 year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. The year 2022 will be marked by the element of water. This stands for flexibility and openness with rationality and independence playing a major role here.
This year I found out I have relatives that celebrate the Lunar New Year and after the turbulence that has been the past few years I wanted to make something special and filled with good luck for them.
Numbers and colors are very important in Chinese New Years with red and gold symbolizing wealth.

The Number 8 signifies good luck so I’ve tried to incorporate as much as those colors
and number into the final illustration
