Background:

Gloo is an online-based platform where they equip ministry leaders with software, community, expertise, and data designed to help them see more growth and more life change in their people.
I came into contact with this company through my internship at Midwestern Interactive, LLC. At the time, Gloo already had a website and a baseline service that helped their audience achieve some of the goals listed above, but it needed a lot of visual upgrades and become much easier to use.

This product was my first major assignment as an employee for MWI and presented a major stepping stone for my design chops.

Workflow - Moodboard
Our typical workflow at MWI for our design team is to moodboard, incorporate a style, and create a home page iteration. Once the home page style is approved we can move on to other pages, but as the home page is the first thing users see, it is important to nail down the design style to help ensure consistency throughout the rest of the site.
This moodboard I placed together consists of different designs for displaying statistical data, as this display is what most users of Gloo will be seeing and seeking out for their organization's actions. The client also wanted to have a modular dashboard and keep the rest of the site revolving around this dashboard.

Workflow - Figma

Once some deliberation was had within our team, we proceeded further into our process. Using Figma, I began work on creating a desktop homepage. Thinking through the user flow, Gloo has the option to view different services on their software without being subscribed to anything, and then total access to metrics and other tools once they are subscribed. So to show that, two different layout
Once my work on the home page was finished, allocation of the other pages went off to the design team, and I got to work on the "Create Org" page.

This page is where users will set up all of their information and upload their own imagery to be displayed on their organization's page within the software.
Thinking through user experience, I utilized a sub navigation that showed clear progress through the setup process with the availability to go back and edit previously submitted information. To show this progress, I made sure to have the sub navigation change colors and icons to indicate completed forms as well as creating a 'percentage completed' circle graph in the top right next to the organization name.

The iconography used was a minimalist style that had rounded edges and a light weight. Anything that needed to be edited was done so within Illustrator.
