cubito by kidoki: mental health distraction cube

This project started through a research of the konmari method, who's main focus is sparking joy through decluttering and organization techniques. I took that principle based on wellbeing and mental health and came up with an object that helps you distract your mind from your thoughts by engaging with it, depending on your needs or level of distraction.
cubito has many compartments: originally they were meant to be categorized by each of our five senses. Instead, and as the project evolved, I decided to add other distractions and narrowed down the amount of compartments to four. This was also an attempt to stay with only the necessary components, just like the konmari method suggests.

The four following compartments are based on: memory (photographs to reminisce on the past), reading (written affirmations, breathing techniques, grounding), tactile stimulation (textures/flexible fidget toy), and logic (klotski game for distraction)

Thank you for stopping by! This is my first ever design, made for art school (i'm not a design major), so feedback would be greatly appreciated! :) -kidoki
