Book Project - Collection of Haiku
Designing a book with collection of 12 haiku was a project on my classes at PJAIT. I decided to use haiku connected in some way with the pain of spirit, longing and sadness. And that is why the title is Pain (in polish - Ból).
It was my first time designing and illustrating a book. I found it incredibly relaxing. And, thanks to my eye for details, it was not a hard work.
The chosen haiku were written by Basho, Issa, Kubonta, Moritake, Shiki, Takarai.
I used the font Adventure Regular to convey the feeling of delicacy and volatility that are strongly connected with haiku texts.
All the illustrations were made by me in Adobe Fresco, and then all was done in Adobe InDesign.
No, my illustrations aren't decorating the subway entries, but my professor found it a really great idea to visualise this idea.
