I created this happy birthday graphic for one of our clients at Reliance Sports Agency, a black owned sports agency based in Baltimore Maryland where I serve as the social media manager. I utilized half tones in the background to give a sports feel as that is a common implementation on sport graphics and adds a nice touch. I also added "X" shaped tape pieces to almost give a polaroid/scrapbook field to the graphic.
