Binding: For the binding they requested I decided to go with two shilouettes facing eachother to show the two races involved in the book with a steamboat between them sailing into the unknown land that is Africa.

Illustration 1: For the first illustration I chose to depict the moment just before they get ambushed my archers, the large trees looming over them as they are watched from the shadows, the darkness itself bearing down upon them.

Illustration 2: For my second Illustration I chose to depict the scene where they see 3 men in red by the side of the river.

Illustration 3: For my third and final illustration I chose to depict the character Kurtz in his final moments as he utters the words "The horror! The horror!".
