Tasked with creating a poster based on a famous designer, I chose to center my design around the brilliant Eames. I challenged myself to take these two designers and illustrate their journey into furniture.

The abstract form in the background is modeled after the Eames's first plywood-mold sculpture. This unique method paved the way for their mid-century modern furniture, such as the Eames lounge chair, which is featured in the foreground. The depiction of the sculpture leading into the lounge chair illustrates the Eames's journey into furniture. The colors of the sculpture were sampled from Ray's work, which contrasts the black and white lounge. Lastly, a fitting quote from Charles is added to tie the poster together.
