The purpose of this project was to explore the formal qualities of six different letters from six different typefaces. The letters were arranged in a grid to create dynamic compositions that investigate the unique negative and positive shapes created by each letter. 
Garamond is classic, elegant, modest, contented, adaptable, pleasing, organic, human 
Platelet is dystopian, nervous, stiff, surreal, irreverent, eccentric, inventive, immature, zippy, zesty 
Futura is hopeful, fresh, approachable, eager, efficient, honest, reasonable, cautious
Helvetica is accessible, rational, ubiquitous, submissive, disciplined, bureaucratic, earnest, gullible, responsible, a people-pleaser, and a teacher's pet
Bodoni is graceful, refined, engaging, melodic, inviting, adventurous, limber, eloquent
Rockwell is reliable, commanding, trustworthy, serious, hardworking, focused, persuasive, confident
