Ava & Dane's Trip to Maine
I am originally from a small town in Maine and my boyfriend Dane has never been there. Over winter break, I brought him home to meet my family and see the East Coast for the very first time! We spent the week shopping, eating, and sight seeing.
Ava & Dane at the San Diego Airport. When we first got there, we were two hours early. We thought we would have time to eat dinner and grab a drink before our flight, but every restaurant in the airport was closed! We spent time walking around and eating snacks instead.
My entire family loves animals. Right when you walk into our home, there are animals everywhere. We have three dogs named Leo, Evelyn, and Benny. My brother also has a pig named Eloise, and she really liked Dane!
I have a very big family, many of them being my younger cousins. My 2-year-old cousin Lainey absolutely loves makeup. She insisted on playing makeup with Dane for hours on Christmas Day.
My family is a big appetizer family. If we are having dinner as a family, you better believe appetizers are coming out first. This is the Charcuterie Board we made for my family to enjoy on Christmas Day.
After Christmas, it was time to explore! We went all over New England visiting different spots in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
This is Dane in front of Nubble Lighthouse located in York, ME. Nubble Lighthouse is one of the most famous lighthouses in all of Maine. People visit Nubble year round to see its beauty.
Perkins Cover located in Ogunquit, ME. This area is known for it's delicious lobster, fun shops, and local artists.
This is Dane in Portland, ME. We needed some last minute holiday gifts for my family, so we spent the day shopping in Portland.
We finished our trip and were excited to head back to sunny San Diego!
