What 2020/21 meant for women, Pandemic happend, Me too Movement start, Black Lives Matter started, all this awarness about so many situations we women are exposed in a daily basis,  we even act like is a normal thing, the systematic model of patriarchy telling us how to behave and feel, telling us what we want to want, censoring the natural way we explore our bodies, not letting us accept them and love them make me want to express something that portraits an empowered women, a she that is confortable under her skin, express herself the way she feels it’s  right for her, knowing that is a totally different thing for everyone, i took inspiration on the classic Birth of Venus by Botticelli and a colombian illustrator I saw once, sadly i cant remember her name, and came up with these 2 pieces that i named the birth of pandemic venus that help me keep my mind busy during pandemic lockdowns and not to go crazy with everything that was going on around, well just a little bit less lol, hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
