Is the tree able to regrow from the stump? It's possible since roots are still present. The only difference, according to Orlando Stump Grinding, is that roots are dormant until they come into contact with water and plant nutrients! The tree trunks gradually begin to re-grow, but this is entirely dependent on the health of the sprouts. If there are sprouts, the tree will be able to re-grow. 

If you don't need the tree in that spot anymore, get rid of all the stumps. Also, eliminate all sprouts in the zone.
