Many people nowadays are getting concerned with their health and lifestyle. Many of them are engaging in different activities, such as sports and eating habit strategies, to improve their health and fitness. And because modern lifestyle today is associated with wellness, many products sold in the market are focused on the improvement of wellbeing that caters to a large market of people whose main concern is to live well to avoid illness. And since people are now getting aware of the pollution happening around the environment today, most of the invented products today are made to answer problems regarding the effects of air pollution and water & food contamination to people, which causes various diseases and illnesses affecting people’s health and lifespan. And speaking of health-related products that are popular today, many of them are designed for kitchen use and for food preparation procedures.

People cannot survive without food on their tables. It is a necessity that we should have to live. Food can bring us strength and good health, and at the same time, it can also be a harmful substance to cause various diseases leading to the deterioration of our lifespan and death. To prevent food from causing harm to our health, we should know how food is processed, the ingredients and preparation procedures, and the causes of various food spoilage to understand why it is called the primary cause of illness and harm to people. 

But how should we stop the food from spoilage and prevent it from bringing diseases to our bodies? I will answer this question by designing a product.

I just came up with the investigation regarding where the food is processed at home: the kitchen. I just found out that the kitchen is often the dirtiest and most smelly room in the house (aside from the comfort room). We cook here, and the fetid air from the cooking food stays around the kitchen. It is dangerous to our health if dirty air roams our kitchen because it accumulates the spreading of molds in our food that causes diseases. By designing I will answer this question by designing a product.

One way to eliminate this problem is to design a product that involves air suction and purification inside the kitchen. Since the cause of odor comes from the food we are cooking, I got the idea of designing a small chimney above the stove. Redesigning the chimney not just to sip the dirty air coming from the food that we cook is not only what I wanted my product to do, but I also want it to function via air recycling.
