In Abaddon, players act as three nations racing against the clock to construct and launch their nation safely into space before the supermassive asteroid Abaddon collides with the Earth. 
Pieces magnetically stick to globe
An egg timer hidden in the base spins the globe and sets the time limit for the game
Players gather cards that represent the STEAM fields, and use them to complete different tasks.

*In an early version of the game, a players score would  be indicated by “building” a rocket. This was done by pulling out a tab from the globe that revealed more and more of their rocket. This was a fun visual representation, but it felt like one too many things a player would have to do on a given turn.
 
*And in a later version of the game, I played with the idea of having spaces that represented the ocean. When these spaces were impacted my meteorites they would have different reactions. This was meant to illustrate things like tsunamis.
