WINTER WHITEOUT
Sierra de Guadarrama, National Park

This national park, Sierra de Guadarrama, is located an hour drive from our former home.
And to me, it was an escape from the buzzing and noisy city of Madrid.
However it wasn't until I took a couple of Alpinism courses that I dared to go in full winter, that was by the end of 2018 and since then, having learned the basics in safety started to felt more comfortable exploring the area in the harshest conditions one can find, and became a pilgrim every time we got hit by a blizzard.

Today, a couple of years after, I took the leap, and not only I'm comfortable in sub-zero temperatures but I roam around this park in whatever conditions the weather threw at us, whether on backcountry skis, crampons or simply knee-deep in the snow I try to look for new perspectives hidden from the most popular places.
And here I share a collection of those images, a winter paradise for some, a comfortable and happy place for me.
