I tried to paint l'oiel on a canvas using acrylic paint. I tried to add more effects, but because I'm still new to painting, it was quite difficult. This painting pales compared to the shades in my charcoal drawing. I chose the green color for the pupil which I really liked in this piece. I'm not very pleases with the result because it's not as accurate as the drawing, and the lashes, in particular, aren't as realistic because I didn't have a smaller brush. With red paint, I tried to make the painting look more like a crying eye, and I added a skin tone to the background.If I would repeat this painting I would try to start with the eye shape before drawing the eye pupil first.
