This work was inspired by the Beatles’ song, “Norwegian Wood”, which is about the man’s feelings after he finds out that the woman he spent the night with his long gone. It expresses the emptiness and the loneliness conveyed by the man in the song.

She showed me her room, isn't it good, norwegian wood?
She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,
I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine
She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh
