After a whole year of pyjama-wearing days working from home, I felt really inspired by Maria Ines Gul’s approach to self-portraits in power outfits and this was the result, a painting of myself where I am having a really good hair day, wearing my signature red lips and my favourite earrings- Maria Ines was absolutely right when she called the self-portrait practice as therapeutic!

I used gouache, Holbein’s acrylic gouache and Caran D'Ache Neocolor II water-soluble wax pastels.
