Poster Design for Special Exhibit at Singapore Zoo
Poster Layout Exploration
The 3 species featured, namely gobi, seahorse and flatfish, all have the ability to camouflage well with its surroundings, especially when faced with threat of predators. From this concept, I associated it to the idea of confusion and deception through the use of colours, patterns and shapes. An idea where these creatures are so well hidden that makes the audience make more effort in spotting them within the poster.

Fun shapes and patterns are used to determine the grid for these variations. The bright colours and variety of background patterns are placed strategically to allow for readability of texts. The three species featured here are intentionally illustrated in the same style as the background.
Structural Invitation Card for Special Exhibition Opening at Singapore Zoo
Exploring multiple folds on a single page.
Following up from this project, the next project challenges the design of a structural invitation card for the Singapore Zoo Special Exhibition Opening, while capturing the essence and spirit of the animals previously chosen.
Chosen paper fold.

Rationale: All the information will be presented in a single page when the card is fully opened. The highlight of this structural fold would be the playfulness it encompasses when it is folded/ compact - which has potential to capture the attention of the reader if executed well.

This would attract the readers’ eyes first, followed by the information in the center (when opened), followed by accompanying texts and other illustrations.
