CAO FIREWALKER "The Arcana Series"
The Arcana Series by CAO brings rare and unusual tobacco fermentation processes to the world of cigars. Firewalker, the second release of the series, gets its name from a unique Nicaraguan process know as "Chincagre". Where the tobacco is placed in a large pile called a pilón and then buried deep in the volcanic soils of western Nicaragua. The heat from the soil allows the tobacco to ferment naturally, locking in an inherently sweet and aromatic quality.

The Design
This design gets its inspiration from the cigar's unique fermentation process. The black "cracked" exterior eludes to dark rich soils of Nicaragua, while the bright red interior references all of the volcanic activity lying just beneath the surface.
The Arcana logo was designed as an ambigram, allowing it to be read right side up or upside down. The box and band's embossed cracks and pops of red allow the cigar to stand out at shelf, and visually connects to the cigar's deeper story.
