I did some research, designed some icons and illustrated the tools used.

I was assigned a partner Kaili who specialises infographic design so she did the map. Both of us got to see the exhumation process for ourselves so it was helpful.

We went through many draft layouts and styles and decided to ask the in house illustrator Manny to draw the scenes, so it will be more heartfelt, when depicting facial expressions.

I finished my internship before the infographic got published so I was amazed to see it in the papers few months down the road!

(They are so talented that they can rotate through all the roles and handle for each other! There is also a night supervisor role, who handles last minute changes and news that requires graphics late into cold stone hours! Luckily there is a roster for them!)

Really grateful for the cupcake farewell party organised for me despite their busy work schedule, it is usually really fast pace in the newsroom. I got to work in the afternoon shift so I was able to witness what happens in the newsroom from day till night. I think they have a lot tenacity and stamina to continue striving for the best!
