Scuplture, Drawings, and Paintings
2014
Pantheon (2014), cast iron with oil patina and stained wood. Dollar store action figures were cast in wax, re-combined into grotesque yet fun figures, then cast again in iron. The goals of the piece stemmed from recollecting on picking up action figures with my grandmother from dollar stores and "making the play work".

2014
Hate Machine (2014), hand-formed clay, stained wood, and yarn. Glazes were used to show a landscape being corrupted by an ichor-like liquid meant to represent hateful speech. Once the higher vessel fills with liquid (hate), it tips and spills it into its environment.

2014
Oral Taxidermy (2014). Hand-formed clay, stained wood. Based on a surreal nightmare involving mounted human teeth and tongues. During this year, I was experiencing re-occurring and increasingly severe stress dreams involving teeth. This piece was the extrapolated extreme of these dreams, but also a darkly whimsical re-imagining of them.

2011-2013
 1. Skeletons (2011). India ink. Was later used as the album cover for Do No Harm's "And Now I Am Played Out".
2-3. Decay (2011). Photography. Images of a destroyed 1930's automobile near my parent's home.
4. Skyline (2012). Chalk.
5. Twentyfourhours (2013). Collaged newspaper, acrylic paint, ink. A six foot square delirious self-portrait. The prompt was to create a mixed-media image within this space for twenty four hours straight, avoiding food and sleep as long as health permitted.
