The objective of this unique form of a crafted artist book was to illustrate a topic of any interest into the form of a two page diorama. At the time of crafting this nifty project, Halloween was just around the corner, so it was of my interest and halloween-like mood to set up a collaged diorama of Halloween horror movie icons and monsters (all of which that I drew both traditionally and digitally from my past) all into a single scene of the diorama book. The whole diorama was first setup in photoshop to understand the placement composition, color arrangements, and image sizes before they were printed out and crafted for better organization. I had it set up in four different layers with different characters on each, having the whole diorama formatted similar to a theater audience setup where the monsters and icons look towards the viewers. The cover was set up to very simple so that it does not take away the attention from the large amount of details put into the diorama itself on the inside. The small collage on the cover is enough to at least give the viewer a unique sense of what’s to come inside, but also simple enough where the attention is not solely focused upon just the cover.
