'SKINNED art poster finalized design' 2010
'SKINNED art poster digital photo manipulation version'  2011
The SKINNED band posters were originally a project in Graphic Design to make a fictional CD cover. The idea that I came up with was to use medical snakes wrapping around a guitar or a broken guitar with flowers in the background. The band name SKINNED came from a song of the same name by the band Blind Melon which is one of my favorite bands. There are several 'paid homage' references to some of my favorite bands such as the tiger lilly which is on the back of the cover art on the CD of Nirvana's In Utero.

Several years later I wanted to come up with a punk rocker guy to be either the lead singer of the band or just the bassest or something along those lines. So thats where the guy (name not decided yet) comes from. Judging from his clothes attire and 'death hawk' I would say the band would be alternative/ industrial/ punk but there isn't any real music for it cause its all fictional. Several other band references are the 'NIN' tattoo which is the Nine Inch Nails Logo (the first picture.) Also the title of the first picture is an edited version of the lyric “In the back off the side far away is a place where I hide where I Stay” from Nine Inch Nails “Somewhat Damaged”. The second picture (the portrait) title is a lyric from The Cure "SIamese Twins." The third picture of the guy with the bass has the title which is a lyric from Nine Inch Nails "Burn."
