After reading this article and watching some of her interviews, it is obvious that female perspective plays crucial part in Ursula K. Le Guin’s works. As female writers, the minority in male-dominated writing industry, she tried to break heroism and the gender stereotype with her own and unique view.
My project with 16 sequential illustrations is going to present the idea that the female novelist behind all the scenes (in the article), who collect different materials from human lives as the inspiration of writing. Stick to the concept of “container”, she put everything in containers, and in her head as well. Finally, she writes a fiction novel with distinctive female viewpoint compared to mainstream male and heroic way of thinking. And I also put my illustrations in a container, a box, as the picture below.
