This was a unique assignment where some real world aspects were applied in the sponsorships of stores, companies, or basic advertisements. A subject/company is chosen and the point is to come up with our own sponsor, inspired by our chosen subject. Then, a logo is designed, based off of the sponsorship. The subject matter that interested me was the application of halloween stores, specifically “Spirit Halloween.” I decided to rename it as “Spector,” as an alternative approach and designed my logo through experimentation of photoshop collage, using horror movie icons to create a collage/mosaic of skulls and creepy eyes as the logo. In addition to the creation of the logo, they were also put onto advertisement material to act as patented merchandise to sponsor the subject we came up with through pillows, t-shirts, mugs, etc.
