The World in Harmony
We developed the notion of harmony as reflecting on a broader meaning of balance, illustrated here between the notes and signs in a composition.
In relation to the overall visual composition, we decided to change the inclination to have a central element from previous editions towards a more dynamic, decentralized type of composition, with multiple points of interest. This shift would contribute to building on the notion of harmony between entities – in this case harmony as fine tuning between entities within a score.
Flat musical notations gain volume and become papers – compositions. Each sign is a score and studied thoroughly just like one, by the composer when creating it and my the musician when interpreting. And it is this attention for the smallest of details – a sign or note – that eventually leads to the methodical and meticulous architecture of harmony. Signs are the precious sound miniatures of classical music, in a harmony devised by rigor and delicacy.
