Taste of Philly
Identity Package
By: Rachel Curry
As a Philly native, this project is very near to my heart. My current residence in Lynchburg, Virginia has led me to try many different restaurants that I would have not tried in my hometown that I greatly enjoy. Still, my heart belongs to Philly when it comes to cuisine. Lynchburg restaurant, Taste of Philly, is a great option when I’m missing a classic Italian hoagie.
Taste of Philly is in need of a brand revolution. They lack a logo with a cohesive color palette. Therefore, I chose a color palette of core Philadelphia colors- specifically with the Eagles in mind. Another element I highlighted was the Liberty Bell because of how significant of a symbol it is. You can see my thought process in the sketches above.
I started the rebrand by designing a logo. I used the color palette I chose with the Eagles green color and an off-white. I then placed the Liberty Bell next to the name of the restaurant. My next steps were to create a business card, envelope, and letterhead. For these, I created a pattern with the same Liberty Bell and colors used in the logo to keep the project cohesive.
