CUBICLES - The WFH Struggle

Isometric Illustration entry for ACYA, ARCASIA about us tired souls working from home.

I chose to depict the struggle of young architects to remain professional amidst the chaos in uncomfortable seats and messy environments, as they worked from home in the pandemic.

BRIEF: Artwork which is an expression of young architects beyond the ’new normal’ reflecting the multidisciplinary hybridity with respect to ‘sharing & generation’.

*CUBICLES*
The uniqueness of architectural firms is that it doesn't contain the designers into a cubicle, you get to have your creative freedom as well as a barrier-free workspace which gives space for open discussions and suggestions. However, with the pandemic we were put into cubicles anyway, separated by walls and distance. Connection errors and low bandwidth reduced the ease of teamwork and the feeling of togetherness was determined by Wifi strength.
