In this time-lapse Ι present you the the movement of the Milky way and the night sky on the divine mountain, Olympus...
 
It was 28/9/2019.  The Plateau of the Muses on Olympus was full of people! Hikers from all over Greece gathered together in a wonderful atmosphere. We had grilled that night at the Refuge of Christos Kakkalos where we all had a beautiful and magical time on a night full of life...The sky was diamond clear and you could see the Milky way shining like a blade in the sky.

I went to the location Kalagiaes were the view you have is this landscape, the peaks of Olympus, the Plateau and in the end all the all the worldly shining somewhere in the chaos. I left my camera at a point where it allowed me through its rotation to take this 8K resolution shot here where you can see the movement of the Milky way all night as it gallops over Mytikas, Stefani, Toumba, Profitis Ilias and finally to go off over the worldly.

To do this time-lapse, apart from the fact that I carried all the equipment on my back, from Gortsia to the plateau in one day, I had to be on the plateau for about 2 weeks waiting for the right weather conditions to do it. Then I left my camera outside all night where it then took 1700 photos with a total size of 154GB. Then I had to wait a year until the right conditions came in terms of work as well as artistic maturity to buy a new laptop to make this time-lapse here where it took close to 12 hours on export with a final size of 40GB.

Then I had to look for sponsors to be able to support me in my artistic return since I had several years to do serious work in the time-lapse part. For my good luck I found .. But, this time-lapse here is a promise, both to myself and to you for all these time-lapse I am preparing. Soon I will upload an 24-hour time-lapse from the top of Olympus, something that has never happened before in our mountains, let alone on the highest peak of Olympus .. This plan here is the protopator of the dream...
