Editorial design: Photographic Curation
Description
The project focuses on emphasising the impactful connection between narrative photography and visual elements such as shape, form, texture, pattern, colour and tonal values. Using photography as a medium, the purpose of this project is to produce a conceptual and abstract piece that depicts a visual narrative and sequence of three documentary images and two fashion style images.
Deliverables
A series of 5 selected images horizontally presented on a single flat board comprised of:
- 2 greyscale fashion style images
- 3 greyscale documentary images
Rationale
The final selected images are intended to carefully portray a curated narrative of social commentary that illustrates the emotions, people and circumstances present in society, with the intent of critically questioning social issues and changing the viewer’s perception and attitude through the documentary and fashion-style photographs.
