ART NOUVEAU
Harry Styles's Fine Line Album in Art Nouveau style
The album I chose to recreate in Art Nouveau style is Fine Line by Harry Styles. To start, Art Nouveau is an art style that flourished between 1890 to 1910 that uses long, flowing, organic lines and elegant geometrical or asymmetrical shapes in the artwork. It aimed to eliminate the gothic style to pioneer the modernization of design. Having informed of the characteristics dominating an art nouveau style, I incorporated these in my work. The album I chose is about the artist's personal feelings about love and life and the flowing, curved lines I used perfectly describes the intimacy he shares with his listeners. The reason being curved or crooked lines are more natural than straight lines that needs to be marked by using rulers. I also used flowers to express his soft side, he may look tough because of his experiences but deep inside he is still someone who needs and wants love.
